Keep going with every thought that the images evoke. Was the note from a woman who says she has erotic fantasies about you and wants to arrange a rendezvous? Of course, you’re tempted, but is she for real or is somebody trying to trick you? You know you can’t resist, but you also know you’re going to have to be careful.

Now, at that suspenseful moment, set aside your thriller and get back to your job. You should already have it open, so you can get back to it without delay. Your imagination is running wild now and anything can happen. That Giro Ski Helmet you were supposed to be writing a technical data sheet about is now a very important part of your life. You need to describe it in detail, because you’ll be needing it when that romantic encounter turns deadly!

It sounds silly, but it works! Even if you’re writing a college thesis on a subject that’s boring to you, if your life depends on that knowledge, it won’t be boring anymore! In fact, some of the best selling thrillers have revolved around the writer’s knowledge about something technical or trivial, like the chemical composition of perfume. The supplement industry in the United States is by and large a self-regulated industry. Unlike other countries, we (the USA) don’t have government constantly telling us what we can and cannot do with our supplements. Though they have been trying to discredit supplements for decades, the FDA and pharmaceutical/ medical industrial complex have largely failed to do so. As a self-regulated industry, we must do just that. Let me state here and now, I am all for self-regulation and totally against government regulation when it comes to supplements. When we find gross problems, we have to expose them no matter what the cost. Any supplement that is found to be potentially dangerous, terribly misleading, or otherwise a total scam, must be exposed as such. If we don’t do it, then we allow the “powers that be” (who have an interest in discrediting the supplement industry) to get one step closer to the Orwellian scenario of other countries. I thought long and hard as to whether or not I should write this article, but in the end, as a person of good conscience and ethics, I knew I had to. In the end, it will cost the entire supplement industry far more than any one loss could ever cost a single company if problems with a certain product are not exposed.

As far as I am concerned, this is us airing out or own dirty inter-industry laundry and policing our own, instead of waiting for the "don't confuse us with the facts" popular media or other groups to come after the supplement industry. I know it must sound like I am almost apologizing for writing this article, and in a way I am. It could potentially cost certain people a great deal of money. I have some hard data to report, but before I do let me provide a little background.  Fewer than fifty days ago, I made the wise choice of becoming a member of an article marketing service.  I don’t literally know the man who owns this service, but I think he should let me borrow it for my next vacation].

Because of my past experiences with this guy, I was confident that the service would accomplish for me what it promised: An entirely unique, effective approach to content marketing.  Like any Internet marketer, I could always use more traffic, and is there anyone who isn’t on the look-out for a way to add external links pointed toward our virtual real estate?  My primary approach for achieving both of these goals is distributing content to article directories.

This service has some advantages over traditional submission to article directories, though.  First, I am able to put contextual links into the body of the article.  That’s something that isn’t allowed in most article directories, but contextual linking offers greater benefits in terms of search engine optimization and traffic maximization.  Second, the articles go directly to websites for publication, sites that are in my niche or a closely related niche.  As with the previous benefit, that helps with regard to both traffic and SEO.  Third, since some of my business involves affiliate marketing, with this service I can put an affiliate link directly in the article, if I want–another thing that the article directories don’t allow.  Fourth, the distribution system has a built in article spinner, so that the version of the article that each website publishes can be unique.

Let me tell you what my membership has helped me achieve in the less than seven weeks that I have been a member.  Here are just a few of the highlights of my experience with My Article Network.

I started a new site in a very competitive niche about three months ago, and I have directed the links from more than half of my articles toward that site’s promotion.  From the first time I noticed it in the Alexa rankings (after I had joined this network) it has climbed over two million positions!  I’m a bit embarassed to admit it, but the new site gets more traffic already than some of my old sites that I have been working on for years.  Indeed on the oldest site that I ever built (that I still own), has received no attention from me in months, but I entered nine articles into this system and that site’s Alexa ranking has improved by more than 120,000 positions.  I can’t attribute that traffic growth to anything other than those nine articles–and the system that distributed them.

I’m quite pleased with the results so far, but I have been lax in my tracking.  Only six days ago, I decided I should just keep records of the results, so I set up a spread sheet.  During that six day period, the eight sites that I have promoted using this distribution network have risen in Alexa a cumulative total of over five million positions.  Not bad for six days.

I actually became so excited by the whole process that I have subsequently created four new blogs to join the over 10,000 websites that are eager publishers for the content that we writer-marketers provide.
