Most parents will tell you that their child has fallen out of bed or off the changing table at least once.

These accidents happen normally and most of the time only result in a frightened parent and a frightened child. Babies even fall out of [1] baby cribs on occasion. This is usually the result of improper assembly. Fortunately most of the time the child does not break anything. There are a lot of stories about this.

If you have a [2] loft bed you will want to make sure that your child is safe in it. It is a great idea to save space but be careful of your child falling out. Most of the time because of the design of the bed they do not but you want to be extra careful. Padding or bed rails are a great way to do this.

Another thing that can be done to keep your child safe in this type of bed is using a full bed instead of a twin or a single. A full bed gives a child more room and makes them less likely to fall. Even a [3] full loft bed is safer than a twin loft.

Small things can keep a child safe in bed. Rails are inexpensive and work very well. They can be added to just about any bed out there. If your child rolls a lot when they sleep this is an excellent option for your to try not matter what style of be they have.

You can also try a very low bed for a kid. They have small beds that are low to the ground on the market. Also there are futons that are extremely low and also save space. Falling out of bed can cause injury if the bed is high. You might want to consider this and take the precautions that you need to.

When older children have this problem it might be enough just to tell them what the problem is. This might stop the problem it might not. You do everything that you can to keep your child safe it is good to make sure they are safe when they are in bed too.
