My Cat Pip Has Overcome Cancer

Cancer does not just affect human beings, cats can also be prone to the ill affects of this deadly disease. I have a cat who is called Pip and in this article I will be writing about my families experience in protecting her from cancer, which the vet has informed us, has ultimately saved and prolonged her life.

Pip is a beautiful and loving cat and is very much part of our family. She is ninety-five percent white in colour, the other five percent is black. I am aware that cats which are mainly white are basically at a higher risk of catching a type of skin cancer than other cats.

I regularly check Pip over when I am stroking her etc. On one particular morning I noticed something rather out of the ordinary - she had what I can only describe as small black spots in and around her ears. I have to say that these were very much new spots as they had not been there the week before. I was slightly worried as I love Pip to bits - there was no way that I was going to take any sort of chance or delay any treatment that may be required - therefore we took her to the vets immediately. In my heart of hearts I believed that Pip would be fine but I just did not want to take any unnecessary risks. I had pet insurance in place in any case.

The vet examined Pip and looked quite worried. He told us that Pip had a form of pre-cancer and that the only way that she would survive, in his opinion, would be to have her ears amputated.

This was very sad but we realised that in a way we had no choice. This all happened four years ago and Pip is still going strong today, unaware of how close she was to losing her life. The vet has stated that if I had not checked her out and brought her in to be examined that the cancer would have spread and that Pip would have only lived for around three to six months.

Help For Parents Who Have A Child In Debt

It can be very worrying for a parent when they are informed that one of their children is in debt. They often want to find an instant solution but can be unsure of where to go to seek help. In this article I give advice on what in my opinion is the best way of helping this child, who of course is likely to be an adult themselves. I hope that the article can be of help and benefit to many people.

There are a number of solutions to different problems that we come across in life and the advice I give in this article may not be suitable in every debt situation but is the way I would deal with my own childs debt problem.

One of the first people to contact would be one of the national organisations which deal with debt such as the national debt line. The majority of parents are normally quite shocked and stunned when they find out the true extent of their childs debt - this can even border on being very angry and a feeling of being let down. There is no need to feel ashamed or embarrassed when you call these places as the advisers deal with debt problems each and every day - this is their job. They will have the required expertise and resources to aid you.

My advice would be to start the child on a debt management plan. I would advise people to contact the national debt line - partly because it is a free service. The beauty of this plan is that the interest from the debt is frozen and it is the interest that is normally what makes the debt become so large. The child then agrees an amount to pay each month, an amount that they have worked out that they can afford and then the debt slowly but surely starts to reduce. The amount that they have agreed to pay is normally far lower than the minimum monthly payment that they had been paying towards the debt which was likely to have only covered the interest anyway.
