Too Many Models: Does It Make You A Geek

Posted By FeedCrazy On 20/03/2010 @ 02:53 pm In General | No Comments

So many people think that Sci-fi models like the Dr Who ones and models such as Star Wars and comic book ones are really geeky but is this true or something that is just ignorant?

The Models

If you take a closer look at some of the fantastic models out there you will see exactly why people buy them. The detail on all of the sci-fi models is simply astounding there is no doubt about that. From the [1] RC cars that feature in the many Batman movies to the [2] remote controlled helicopters that you see in films such as Avatar and Transformers.

The makers of the models spare no cost when they are putting in the detail to all of the models. Most of these makers actually make the plans for the models from the plans the creators use themselves which is often why such detail can be seen within all of them.

It is certainly true to say that models can be a bit geeky but this is only if you are filling up rooms full of them and you do not ever open them. If you like to have a couple of models from your favourite movies then I really cannot see a problem with this at all. Many people simply call these people geeks because they don’t have the models they do. I cant think of anything better than the awesome car from Back To The Future that lights up and makes noises. 88 Miles Per Hour!

So there you have it, are models like [3] RC tanks really that geeky or is it only if the person has loads of them? Well in all honesty it does not matter at all and if you are a model collector you will know you don’t need to give a damn.
