Do you have a website that needs traffic? Otherwise maybe you’re just thinking of starting an online career. Have you heard writing about your product or services for the purpose of getting traffic to a web site. Even though you’ve read where people are making a lifetime income promoting their sites this way, are you still hesitant or afraid to learn article marketing ? If you are I don’t consider you are alone. I know the first time I heard about promoting this way was a few years ago. I didn’t totally understand it, so I was reluctant to even try to learn article marketing . I read where some grandma sat home all day and wrote articles, putting them online and she made more money than I had ever expected to make anywhere doing anything.Being part of the article marketing elite means I spend time writing every day, well just about - every once in awhile even we take a day off to just play! In order to get consumers to visit your site you are expected to promote through writing about what you know. Educating people - that’s what this business is all about.

I’m a fairly simple person. Grew up on a farm, enjoyed life to the fullest without having very much money, but was and still happy with life. The only thing I had in common with the lady above was being a grandma. The thought of writing was something I didn’t thing I could do, so I quickly dismissed the idea of trying to earn an income by doing writing.

Fast forward 3 years. I’m still a grandma, the difference is a year ago I actually took the time to learn article marketing . I’m not making a boatload of money yet, but I plan to in the future. I’m not working quite as hard as the lady above, but I’m persistent. And I’m not going to give up, so the money will come.

Article marketing does not just have to be about writing an article and posting it to article directories.  If you’re going to go to the time and trouble to write an article, you may as well try and get the biggest return on your time.

Writing and distributing content around the web serves two purposes.  Firstly, you get links back to your own site which helps you to rank higher in the search engines, and secondly, the articles bring visitors directly to your sites via the links you include in them.  Both should help you to generate more free traffic to your web pages.

There are literally thousands of article directories where you can post your articles to for free.  I use a submission service called Submit Your Article .com.  You simply upload your article to their site and they distribute it for you to hundreds of directories and ezines, including the leading directory sites.  Their service saves me hours.
